about us

Since 1999, the Garden Photographers’ Association has been exhibiting the work of leading international garden photographers from the UK and abroad. The GPA was originally formed by a small group of British professional garden photographers in 1999, as a fellowship of professionals who recognise the many pressures photographers face. Members and guests meet several times a year, to provide a forum to collectively address relevant issues within in the industry and aims to stimulate creativity amongst its members, through our annual competition and exhibition. The GPA is part of the Garden Writers' Guild (GWG), an established national organisation of professional communicators associated with the garden industry. Members include writers, broadcasters, book and magazine publishers, newspapers, photographers, artists and illustrators. United with similar aims and objectives, the GPA and GWG continue to work together to promote the highest standard of professionalism within the garden and horticultural industry. Today the GPA generates new interest not only amongst its’ member photographer’s but, amongst professionals worldwide, many of whom are house hold names and major photographic contributors to international consumer publications and other horticultural and garden lifestyle media.
